It’s been a year since we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Discount.

And yes—go ahead and ask me how he got that name. 😉

If you’re a dog owner, you already know the kind of love I’m talking about.

The tail wags, the wet nose nudges, the unconditional loyalty.

Dogs don’t just fill our homes—they fill our hearts.

But did you know they also boost our health?

The Stats:

📉 A Harvard study found dog owners have lower blood pressure and healthier cholesterol levels.

🚶‍♀️ Dog owners are four times more likely to meet daily movement goals.

🧠 Studies show just 10 minutes of interacting with a dog can lower cortisol and boost serotonin levels—hello mood lift!

💤 Dog companionship is linked to reduced loneliness, better sleep, and stronger emotional resilience.

Don’t have a dog?

Here’s how to still experience the benefits:

✅ Volunteer at a local shelter or rescue organization

✅ Offer to walk or pet sit for a friend

✅ Consider fostering—a great way to help a dog in need and bring joy into your home 🐕🦴💞

Healthy Habit Challenge:

If you’re a dog lover, take a moment today to reflect on the love your pup brings (or brought) into your life.

And if you’re missing that kind of connection, consider giving some time or space to a furry friend who needs it—you might just be healing yourself too. 🐾

Drop a pic of your pup or tell me their name below! 💬

👇 And yes… ask me about Discount's name. 🐕
